Individual Ethical Responsibility: Dealing with Ethical Dilemmas in Research, Teaching, and Committee Activities
We are continuously challenged with ethical dilemmas in our research, teaching, or committee activities as academic scholars. In this forum, we want to extend the awareness of our individual ethical responsibility, how we can support others in challenging situations, and what good practices are. Our forum will include a discussion about when and why individual responsibility is required, how we align with the organizational ethical responsibility of our universities, and how the Academy can support us in developing the ability to deal with ethical dilemmas. Further, our forum will include small group discussions to exchange insights with peers (PhD students, junior and senior faculty) for good practices and to build a network to collect good practices.
